- When you change direction to the right or left on a road and keep going, use「まがる（曲がる）」(to turn). We say「〜を 右に曲がる」(turn right at ~).「とまる」(to stop) means to come to a stop, and「わたる」(to cross) means to go over to the other side of the road. Example:「次の角を左に曲がってください」(Please turn left at the next corner).
