JLPT N1Kanji compounds

Meaning
Explanation
「凋落(ちょうらく)」 means that something that was flourishing loses its momentum, declines, and falls into ruin, used as in 「名門の凋落」. It is the exact opposite of c2 "to flourish further." Unlike c4's physical fall of an object from a high place, it is used in the abstract sense of a once-prosperous person or organization declining.
