JLPT N1Proverbs

Meaning
Explanation
From the legend that Han Xin, who later became a great general, silently endured in his youth the humiliation of crawling between a ruffian's legs, it teaches that a person with great ambition bears the small disgrace of the moment. Contrary to c3, which says one should not accept humiliation, it is a saying that values endurance for a greater goal.
