- "欺瞞（ぎまん）" means to falsify facts and deceive and dupe the other party, used as in "欺瞞に満ちた態度" (an attitude full of deception). c3's "careless mistake" is a non-intentional error, but deception is decisively different in that it is an intentional act of deceiving. Whereas "詭弁" in question 12 refers to a method of argument, 欺瞞 refers to acts in general.

「欺瞞（ぎまん）」は事実をいつわって相手をだまし欺くことで、「欺瞞に満ちた態度」のように使う。c3の「うっかりの間違い」は故意ではない過失だが、欺瞞は意図的にあざむく点が決定的に異なる。第12問の「詭弁」が議論の手法を指すのに対し、欺瞞は行為全般を指す。
