一進一退

- Explanation
- 「一進一退」 expresses a situation that advances and retreats and is hard to settle. It is used for scenes where an illness, a contest, negotiations, etc. go back and forth. The key point is that it expresses the instability of a situation, rather than taking it literally as military tactics or dance movements as in c1 and c2.
